This is my very first story here on Wattpad. So first off let me just introduce myself. My name is Shreya Banerjee....Im just your average Bengali girl who is absolutely OBSESSED with Bollywood, Hindi Dramas, Pakistani Dramas & K Dramas. I also love reading....especially fictional romance so here I am. Ive never actually written a story except for when I was maybe 10 for school.....so pls forgive me if this does not turn out that great like it is in my mind.

Rudransh knew the elder members of his family were upto something the moment he sat down at the table to eat breakfast. As he took a bite out of his avocado toast, he watched his Dadu & Dadi exchanged worried looks....his Chachi & Mom were whispering to eachother while his Chachu looked like he was nudging his Dad to do something.

"Rudra bhai, are you excited about your promotion this week?" Arjun asked, unaware of what was happing just across the table. 

"Of course Bhai is excited! He will be Chairman of the company, he has been dreaming of this for years now." Vedant spoke up.

"Ahem..." Vikram cleared his throat, looking nervously at his eldest son. Everyone turned to look at him. "I uh.....I have something to say...."

"Yeah...thats obvious" Rudransh chuckled. "Tell me Dad."

"Well....." Vikram glanced at his wife who motioned for him to continue. He took a deep breath & then just said it. "Youneedtogetmarried."

"What?" Rudransh asked, dropping his smile. He understood what Vikram meant but still wanted to be sure his Dad was actually asking him to do what he thought he heard. 

"You....need to get married." Vikram repeated in a slower pace.

"Dad...we've talked about this." Rudransh replied carefully, trying to control his anger. His family didnt know why he was against marrying and he didnt want to talk about it.

"No, you announced that you wont marry and wont tell us why. I hardly call that a talk." Vikram spoke with more confidence. 

"And what about my great grandkids? I want to be able to play with them before I die." Prithviraj added in an emotional tone.

"Pehli baat (First thing), Dadu...nothing will happen to you so dont ever say things like that again." Rudransh warned him, strictly. "Aur dusri baat (And the second thing), You do realize you have 3 other grandsons who can give you your great grandkids....the family bloodline will hardly stop with me." 

"So do you just want to spend the rest of your life alone?" Vikram stood up angrily. Suman held his arm to calm him down. 

"Vikram....pls sit. Aaram se baat kariye (Talk calmly)." 

"Dad this is my life....I will NOT marry!" Rudransh yelled back.

"Then you will NOT be chairman of the company." Vikram announced. Everyone except for Prithviraj looked at him shocked.

"Dad, Bhai has been looking forward to this promotion and he is the CEO. If not him then who?" Vedant asked.

"You cant do this." Rudransh said. He looked at his grandfather. "He cant do this....can he?"

"Well....I did it to him." Prithviraj smiled proudly at Vikram.

"Yes you did....and as much as I was furious at the time, that was the best thing you could have done because thats how my Sumi came into my life." Vikram leaned over and pecked his wife on the cheek affectionately. Suman started blushing and gently pushed him away.

"Vikram....pure parivaar ke samne toh mat kijiye! (At least dont do this infront of the whole family!) "

"Anyways....this is for your own good Rudransh. If you want that Chairman position then we will choose a bride for you and you will marry her." Vikram declared.

There was no way that Rudransh would get married but he also couldnt afford to loose his promotion and neither could he tell his family what happened in his past. He was starting to panic because his Dad looked very serious about what he said.

"I have a girlfriend!" 

"What?!" Arjun & Ishaan said. Even Vedant looked confused. The Rathore brothers were close so they would have known if Rudransh had a girlfriend.

"Rudra, you have a girlfriend?" Deepak finally spoke up. "Then why were you refusing to get married?"

"Because.......I wasnt sure how you all would react about her." Rudransh lied. "She isnt....our status."

"Arre....who cares about all that?" Prithviraj said happily. "I know all the Rathore daughter-in-laws have always come from upper class, rich families but that doesnt mean we are against everyone else. If you love someone then tell us!"

"Haan beta, tell us who she is na?" Suman asked.

"Its....Its.....Ms Sharma!" Rudransh blurted out the first girl name he could think of.

"Ms Sharma? Wait bhai....do you mean your PA? Avni Sharma?" Vedant asked.

"Yes...Avni." Rudransh nodded. So THATS Ms Sharma's name....thank god Vedant said it.

"Avni Sharma.....if she works as Guddu's PA then you must also know her na Vikram?" Suman asked her husband.

"Haan, bohot pyaari bachi hai (Yes, she is a lovely child) . But....Rudra, I didnt know anything was going on between the two of you. It doesnt look like that at the office." 

"Dad, it's an office and Im the CEO. Of course I cant be caught dating my own PA." Rudransh rolled his eyes.

"Then how DID you end up dating her?" Vikram asked.

"Vikram stop interrogating our son! He loves someone....this is great news!" Suman sushed Vikram.

"Rudra beta....call Avni home for dinner today. We want to meet her." Gayatri said.

"But Dadi...."

"No buts! Call her like your Dadi said or else I will invite her myself." Vikram replied.

"No No....I'll do it." Rudransh sighed.
