Okey so first of thank you for giving my story a read. This is my first book so please be kind.

I love writing and want to share my stories with you all.
I'm doing my best to give you guys a good story. And I think I am doing great so far. I've worked very hard on this one!

ERRORS - I wrote this in 2021-2023, so it has a lot of mistakes since English is not my first language. I try to correct any errors once I notice, but I need help spotting them. (So tell me when you see a misspelled word)
I'm not a professional writer, so there might be mistakes. However, I don't want to change the text too much, as I want to keep the comments.
So, please note that this story contains misspellings!

NO SMUT - Please keep in mind that I was 15 when I wrote this for the first time! You guys are going mad at me in the comments for not giving you any smut, but I was young, and honestly didn't know how to write explicit scenes!

"Just put on the green one" Eloise says tired of me changing my outfit for the fifth time today. "It's just a dinner" She says rolling her eyes.

"Just a dinner" I say opening my mouth in shock. I put my hands on my hips "It's a date with the most handsome man I've ever known" I say smiling. Eloise just laughs at me. I get it I really like this man and sometimes it can sound as if I am really obsessed. Well I am, most of the time.

"He is not handsome" Eloise says and I just roll my eyes.

I put on the green dress, some makeup and put my hair in a high ponytail.
Its almost 8 pm now and I  can hear the car pull up outside. I look out the window and see Jayden  waiting for me. I scream out of joy. "Could you get out already" Eloise says eyes closed. I really didn't let her sleep at all today. Poor thing. I give her a kiss on her forehead "bye little one" I say then leave the room.

As i walk down the stairs Alex catches me. "Where are you going young lady" He says smiling. Alex is my old brother he's 26. He has for as long as I can remember always made me and my sister smile. Not once has he ever hurt anyone because he wants too. Only when father forces him.

I don't want to lie to Alex but at the same time I feel embarrassed to tell him that I'm going out with a guy. "Eee...out with some friends" I say trying to sound calm but when he smiles I know I've failed. "Oh right... that's why there's a man standing outside picking you up, you can't fool me Amelia" He comes and hugs me and I give him a nervous smile as I walk out the front door. "Have fun" he yells after me.

I mean I've known Jayden for a long time but recently I have started to feel something for him. More than friendship. And today he wanted to take me on a date.

Jayden really is handsome. He has blonde hair with the bluest eyes. He is in his car waiting for me to get in.

We are driving to a restaurant. I don't know which one but he said he would surprise me. Im happy to have him, really. He takes good care of me. "Where are we going" I say.
"You'll see soon" He says looking at me with a smile.

We talk the whole ride and when we arrive it's this big sushi restaurant.

We step out the car and start walking. "I'm sooo hungry" I say as I hook my arm in his. He looks down at me and our eyes meet. "You'll love this place"

It's 10 pm and we had a good time. I really needed this. We haven't done something like this for ages. The waitress comes with the check. "Would you like to pay together or separately" She asks. Jayden answers "separately"

Oh...

We pay and head home. "I had so much fun thanks for tonight" I say stepping out of the car. He steps out too walking up to me. We face each other. "Me too" he says as he leans down. And we kiss. My hands panic I don't know where to put them. It's slow and soft. It's easier than I thought "Want to head to my place instead" he asks breaking the kiss.

"I would if it weren't for the house rules" I say laughing. "Nobody leaves the house after 11 pm" I say imitating my fathers voice. We both laugh and say good night. I walk into my and Eloise room. She's sleeping thank god. I have to be so quiet to not wake her up.

Im finally in bed. Thinking about our kiss as I fall to sleep.

We are all sitting at the table. Me, mom, Alex and Eloise. Dad is gone for work. He's been gone a lot lately and that's for the best. He's scary when he is here with us.

Suddenly Alex says smirking "How was the kiss". I get so embarrassed and he knows it. I hit him with my arm from under the table. "WHAT! Did you guys kiss" Eloise says all happy. "No" i say "stop making it a big deal"

Mom smiles too but doesn't say much abut it. She's a very quiet woman but loves and cares for her family. "It is a BIG deal Amelia, it's your first kiss" Eloise keeps going like a 10 year old. She is 14. "Oh my god" I say as I get up and put my plate in the sink.
"How was it!" My brother shouts as I walk up the stairs to my room. "Fantastic!" I shout back at him angrily. And they all laugh.

Hours pass by when Eloise and I talk about our lives. And suddenly the doorbell rings. We jump out our beds and head downstairs. Mom opens the door and there stands father. He's grown older since last time. Everyone stands in place as we just say "hey father" I guess we're all terrified right now.

"Oh! I've missed you all so much, how's my family?" He says stepping inside. "Never been better" I say sarcastically to him as we all walk inside.

We all take a seat in the living room. "How has the trip been honey?" Mother asks father.

"Fine there's a lot I'm dealing with now." He pauses and looks at me "Amelia we need to talk later." He says giving me a smirk. How I hate this man. Nothing good could ever come out his mouth.

So thoughts on the first chapter? Do we like it or nah? Any advice you would like to give?

We all walk to the dining table to eat. It's quiet. But not peaceful it's rather tense.

My father has a way of dealing with things and he takes it out on this family. It's usually me he abuses because I'm old enough to take it he says. My brother got a lot of hits when he was younger. But we never ever let him touch Eloise. I can't let him do that.

"Have you two been training?" Father asks pointing between me and Alex. "Yes we have" Alex answers. We both need to train a lot on our skills. I'm not so good with anything really but Alex likes using the gun. He's everything I'm not. He's stronger, taller and more skilled.

We have to train since we are in the Mafia. "I don't want you guys to be weak" he says only looking at me. Father has never seen me as the strong one. That makes him mad, everything I do for the most part makes him annoyed.

We finish eating. "Amelia lets go upstairs and talk" father says to me and Alex has a worried look on his face. I move after him and we get into his office. He takes a seat behind his desk and I stand in front of him.

"What do you want to talk about father?" I ask nervously.

"Well you have grown and have just turned 18. I think it would be the perfect time for you to marry."

It's like I feel my heart stop. I don't know what to say. "Marry who?" I ask as I try to stay calm.
"The Perez family is looking for a bride to their son. He is a Mafia leader and will be your husband." Father says it like it's so easy.

"No, you can't make me marry someone I've never met" I beg.

"They will give us a great amount of money" father says and I interrupt him. "You sold your daughter for money!" I raise my voice. He doesn't answer only looks at me like I'm the wrong one.

"I've just met someone his name is Jayden I can marry him but please don't make me marry a Perez" I start to cry letting the tears roll down my face.

He walks over to me and slaps my face. "You fucking slut"

"You are going to marry him end of discussion" he says and I take all my strength to say
"NO!" I know what will happen. I know the cost of me telling him the opposite of what he wants. But I can't marry him. That family is dangerous. If I get abused at home they will do it 10 times worse.

"How can you be so selfish, I'm your daughter" I keep on crying.
Seconds later he pushes me to the floor and hits me a few times. I try to block his hits but fail. This is what he does for a living, killing people. So I don't stand a chance against him.
As I try to get up I hear him undo his belt. He takes it off.
It hurts so much. "Lay fucking down or I will hurt you more" he says and I go still. As I lay flat on the floor his belt meets my skin creating a loud noise.

I lay there sobbing. Every part of my body hurting. My back covered in belt marks. With each hit hurting even more. "Don't ever tell me no again" he shouts then leaves the room.

The pain felt like a lightning had struck my body from head to toe. It hurt more this time then usual. Not only because of the hits but the fact that I have to marry the worst mafia of them all.

Alex comes in after awhile. When he spots me on the floor he gets down and try's to help me up.

"I'm so sorry" he says blaming himself. I try not to make it look as bad as it is. Alex lifts me by the arm and I stand on my feet. "I'm fine" I let out. Even though I feel like I cannot breathe.

He nods once as he walks me to my room. "Let's get you in bed"
I wish I could tell him now what father told me but I don't have enough strength for that. I slowly get in bed as Alex tucks me in.

When he leaves I cry as quiet as I can. Not wanting anyone to hear me. In just a few days I will be married to a guy I don't know.

I hate my life.

I felt so bad writing this. Poor Amelia but it will be good for the story just keep reading.

This was also a very short chapter sorry about that!

I wake up with an extreme pain in my back. I go in the shower and the hot water burning my wounds. I put on a cream that makes the wounds heal faster. I don't think it's for this kind of wounds though. But I guess it does something good.

There is no bruises on my arms only my back. Eloise gets inside as I pull my shirt over my head as fast as I can. "Are you hurt?" She asks innocently. "No, no why, I'm all well" I tell her giving her a hug.

"But you were crying last night" she says scared. "Father and I were just fighting I'm fine really" I try to convince her and I think it worked because she nods and gets back to reading her book.

I get ready for school. The place I feel so safe at. A place where father can never come near me.

I get out of the house and our car drives me to school. Jayden is the first person to greet me at school. But I won't let him hug me because of the sharp pain on my back.

At the last lesson I look at my phone. 6 calls missed. My father has called me 6 times today. I panic. I ask mr Morgan if I can get out of the class because of a family crisis.
He tells me I can, and I run out. I call my father. "Where the hell have you been" he yells. "I'm at school" I tell him.

"The Perez family were supposed to meet you today he's on his way to you now" father screams at the phone. "I didn't know, you never told me I couldn't be at school today."

"He will give you what you deserve for this" he says as I hang up. I don't want him to keep screaming at me. Especially not in school. The lesson has ended and I walk back inside to get my bag.

I run outside to see that a black car is here. He is here. Shit. What do I do.

I see Jayden run out looking for me. I walk faster toward the limousine. "Amelia" Jayden yells making me stop. I turn around and he walks up to me. "Jayden you need to leave now" I tell pushing him away. "No why have I done something" he asks. I shake my head. "No, no you have to listen to me leave" I tell harsher this time. I don't want him to see me with that man.

He steps closer and takes my hand. "Why are you pushing me away?"

God can he just get away from me. We are too close to the car. "I think you are the one I'm looking for" a dark voice says from behind. I back away from Jayden and turn around. A young man dressed in black watching us.

"Hi I'm..." I get interrupted by him.

"Amelia I know, who the fuck is this?" He only looks at Jayden. "Get away man" Jayden says and takes my hand. Fuck. Why is this happening now.

"Let go of my wife, I won't warn you again" he says and Jayden of course does not listen. I guess we will both die here and now. This is a nightmare. A man I've never met is calling me wife in front of my boyfriend.

"What do you mean..." Jayden don't get to finish his sentence when the guys fist connects with his jaw. Jayden stumbles backwards by his hit and before he can react the guy goes in for another punch. "Next time you fucking listen" he says grabbing my arm. I follow because I don't know what else to do. His hand squeezes around my arm.

Jayden stands there in shock watching us leave. Watching me leave with a guy I don't know anything about. I want to cry but hold them back. Maybe if I act nice he will spare my life.

"Get in the car" he demands and I only do as he says because maybe I'm the next one to get a punch. He's scary. Dressed only in black colors. His hair and eyes black too. I watch him drive but he turns his head to look at me. Our eyes lock for a second and I turn my head.

"This wasn't how we were supposed to meet" he says after a while. "Yea" is the only word that comes out, but it comes out shaky, making it so obvious that I'm scared.
"You will not fucking meet this man again!" He says making me jump.

After a long minute I try to soften the tension.

"Are you going to tell me your name" I ask nervous. "Ezra Perez" he answers.

"I'm Amelia Gonzalez" I introduce myself. As if he already did not know that.

As I look outside the window I realize this isn't the way to my home. "Where are we going? I haven't packed my things yet and I need to say goodbye to my siblings." I tell him but he keeps driving.

When I don't get an answer I get annoyed. Which is so wrong right now because I don't know what he might do. "Hello? I want to go back home" I say and he turns to look at me, dead in the eye. His eyes so cold.

"Shut up. You're giving me a headache, I don't want you to ask any more questions. You talk when I tell you to." Ezra says and I get quiet. Terrified to say anything else. I want to jump out this car and run away. Trust me I've tried that with father...and it didn't end well.
But instead I accept my faith and sit down as he drives us to his mansion.

He's a bitch right now I know! But he will improve trust me.
